COSTA RICA AND PANAMA QUARREL.

BRITAIN INTERESTED IN DISPUTE.

It is reported that a state of war exists between Costa Rica and Panama over a boundary dispute. The situation is further aggravated by Costa Rica’s action in ‘cancelling a British oil concession. Britain has sent a Note and a cruiser to back up her demands. It is not expected Britain will take forcible action without notifying the United States but such notification lias not yet been given. It ft understood that the United States sides with Costa Rica, claiming that the concession was granted - by the discredited Tfnoco 'government.—A. and N.Z.O.A.
