PARAMOUNT SUPER SPECIAL AT OPERA HOUSE.

Robert L. Stevenson’s immortal story was screened on Saturday, at tlie Opera House, to an audience that, taxed the capacity of the ball. Admirers of “Treasure Island,” familiar with the detail with which Stevenson enriched the chronicling of his story ol adventure, could not but offer then thanks to Maurice Tourneur ami the artists of the cart, for the care expended in the interpretation of what, wits to them more than a mere film. The curtain raisers, which included, a Mack Sennett comedy “Fresh from the City,” and educational topicals, drew from the audience repeated, evidence of pleasure. But it was not until the title slide of the star was screened, that enthusiastic applause broke out. to the undying memory of Stevenson. “Yo. ho, ho, and a bottle of ruin ! Sixteen men on a. dead man s chest'” There was not one boy there who did not envy the boy friend of the great author, who heard from m s lips this story, of buccaneers.
