BOROUGH COUNCIL UNDECIDED

EXTENDED TIME FOR CONSIDERATION.

With regard to the position which has arisen between the directors of the Waikohu hydro-electric scheme and the Gisborne Borough Council concerning the matter of power supply to the borough, in connection with which the company requested the Council to give a definite, answer by Saturday, the Council has. asked the directors to extend the time for its answer to he given until after the next ordinary meeting on the 27th inst. The directors have agreed and will therefore adjourn their meeting on Saturday next • until Wednesday, 28th inst. In view of the fact that the engineers are now on the ground awaiting final instructions, no further adjournment ivill be possible.
