K AIR OHO SALE. The Gisborne Farmers’ Co-op. Co., Ltd., held their usual weekly sale at Kairoro yards on Tuesday, 20th inst. The attendance was small, and only a limited number of sheep came forward. 'There was a good demand for grown sheep, but hoggets were not keenly contested for, vendors' reserves being more than buyers were prepared to give. The following sales were made: 48 2-tooths 2Ss, 42 do. 24s 6d. 24 2-tooth ewes 24s Od, 7 fat and forward cows £lO 7s 6d.
HOME WOOL SALES. The Gisborne Farmers’ Co-op. have received cabled advice from their London house as follows, dated July 16: — “Wool sales closing prices: Merino, best ■ quality unchanged, inferior quality 5 pel cent, lower; fine crossbred, rather dearer; medium crossbred, market dull with downward tendency; coarse crossbred, no demand; tallow, small demand | for at four shillings decline."
