FARMERS’ CO-OP. MEETING.
(To tlie Editor.) Sir. —AVitJi regard to the statement made by Mr B. L. Lees as to his having been approached by members of tlie staff of the Gisborne Farmers’ Co-op. Co., Ltd., to ask the chairman at the shareholders’ meeting (convened to confirm the trading amalgamation proposal) held on Saturday last, as to whether any steps had been taken to assure their services being retained by the amalgamated company. I have been asked by the staff-to make equally as public the fact that every individual member of the staff at Childers Load (save two absentees) have signed a memo to the effect that: so far as they individually and collectively are comfcwned.
