WEDDING.
ROCHE—SCHOLLUM
A pretty wedding was solemnised on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, Lowe Street, on the occasion of the marriage of Miss Rosalia Scholium, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Scholium, Auckland, to Mr Frank Roche, second son of. Miami Mrs F. Roche, of Gisborne. The Rev. Father Lane performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Mr Andrew Scholium, looked charming in a beautiful dress of crepe d'e chine, trimmed with pearls. She wore the customary veil anil orange blossoms, and carried an exquisite bouquet of pale pink carnations, jonquils, and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Agnes Scholium, sister of the bride, and Miss Diana Roche, sister of the bridegroom, both of whom were becomingly attired in dresses of white crepe de chine, with black hats finished with pink, and carried beautiful bouquets. Mr Reg. Martin was best man. and Mr Reg. Humphries acted as groomsman. The bride’s gong-awayi dress was a beautiful wine-colored costume, and a .pretty black bat with crown of gold tissue. The bridegroom’s prpsenfc to the bride was a handsome handbag, and to the bridesmaids silver jewel cases. After the wedding ceremony a sumptuous wedding breakfast was held, and the usual toasts were duly honored, and all dispersed, only to meet, again in the evening, at the Givis Emergency Club’s rooms, where a dance was lieid. Mr and Mrs Roche loft, later for Auckland, where the honeymoon js to he spent. The presents were numerous and costly, including several cheques.
