CONFERENCE PROBABLE NEXT

WELLINGTON. July 19. The position in regard to the c-oal dispute is much more hopeful to-day, for it is announced by the Prime Minister tlmt .it has practically been settled that a conference will take place on Saturday. Mr. Massey will preside, but if the conference is protracted it is probable Mr. Hally will act as chairman in the absence of the Premier. —Press Assn.
