RUGBY REFEREES ASSOCIATION

The weekly' meeting of tlie Poverty Bay Referees’ Association was held 011 AA’ednesda.v night. Mr J. B. Brown presided over a good attendance.

The following referees were appointed for Saturday’s matches:— Seniors: Old Boy'S and Y.M.P. v. High School, Reserve No. 2. 3 p.m. Mr J. H. Ready; Hum Manapapa. v. United, Reserve- No. 1, 3 p.m. Mr. R. Burge. Juniors: Possible v. Probable junior rep. beam Reserve No. 1. 1.30. p.m. Mr J. -Corbett.

Third Grade: Kaiti City v. Y.M.P. Reserve No. 2, Mr O. R. Olsen; High School v. Mangapapa. High School ground, 3. p.m. Mr P. AVilson; Pirates v. United, Domain, 1.30. p.m. Mr J. O’Neil.

Emergency referee, Mr E. J. Poswiflo.

The matter of holding a test everyth roe years was discussed, and it was Vended that the present methods of tho Association in satisfying itself of the- capabilities' of referees before appointed aro the most suitable.

JUNIOR POSSIBLES V. PROBABLES. The following players are requested to attend at the Reserve, at 1.30 tomorrow when the selectors will choose teams for representative honors in view of the Tologa Bay v. Poverty Bay junior reps. .-—Mahoney, Tolrae, McKay, Herewini, Melvie, Dominey, HendeVson, Simson, Henley, Lardelli, Turnbull, Robertson, AVhitfield, Nicol, Eaton, A’Villiamson, Martin, Weston, Toka, Paul, Notting, Jones, Rangirua, Te Ante, Corbett, Bartlett. O’Neill, Ngatai (2), Buchanan, Ted-’Williams. Any junior not mentioned in the above is requested to attend as if the players selected are not present they will not be considered in the final selection.

THE ASSOCIATION GAME. Tlie following will represent Gisborne against Y.M. at tlie Domain to-morrow: Herd, Sutcliffe, McKay 7 ,. Leo. Hanna, Kirkness, llewiston, Third, Kelly, McMullen, Shields; reserves, AVaugh and another.
