MATAWHERO STOCK SALE. The Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association held their usual weekly sale at the Matawhero yards yesterday in very adverse* weather conditions. There was a good yarding of sheep and cattle, and throughout the sale recent rates were well maintained. Although the attendance of buyers was less than usual, all sheep showing any condition were eagerly sought, after, and very few lines were passed in at auction, and those that were, met with a ready sale privately. The yarding consisted of 920 fat sheep. .53 fat cattle, 32 pigs, *7001) store sheep, and 150 head of store cattle.
