PROPOSAL TO ELECT SPEAKER FROM OPPOSITION. (Received April 27 10.40 p.m A SYDNEY, April 2*. Parliament- has" opened. The Government’s proposal to elect Mr Levy Ao the Speakership aroused a storm of protest from the Opposition, who are bitterly opposed to the selection of a candidate from the ranks of the Nationalists.
