FIGHTING IN MESOPOTAMIA. (Received April 28, 1.30 a.m.) 1 PARIS, April 27. A battalion of French infantry and a squadron of cavalry occupying Urfa, the last post between the Tigris and the Euphrates, surrounded Mustapha Remain troops. The French were compelled to leave the town after an armistice. The French thereafter were attacked by superior numbers. Accordin- to the Turks a portion of the French troops succeeded in returning to the town, and the remainder probably reached the railway. Reuter.
