GIFTS BY LORD ASTOR.

ENTIRE REAL ESTATE TO TWO SONS.

LONDON. Sept. 14. Deeds filed at the county registrar’s office indicate that Baron Astor, of Hever Castle, Kent (the American millionaire who became a naturalised British subject in 1899) has given liis entire real estate holdings to his two sons, the Hon. Waldorf Astor, M.P., and Captain the Hon. John J. Astor (says the New York correspondent of the Da4ly News). There are two deeds, each naming Lord Astor and the Farmers’ Loan Trust Co., as trustees for one-half part of all real estate owned in New York and elsewhere. Each son is named as beneficiary of the half holdings.

No mention is made of Lord Aster’s daughter, Pauline, who married Captain Spender Clay. Major Waldorf Astor is Parliamentary Secretary of the Local Government Board. He was Inspector of Quartermaster-General Services, October 1914—January, 1917. Captain John Aster was A.D.C. to the Viceroy of India, 1918-14. He was wounded in France in October, 1914.

It was announced in July, 1915, that Lord xAstor had presented real estate in New York worth £1,400,000 to Captain John Astor, Lord Astor’s personal fortune has- been estim ated at £20,000,000. The death of Lord Astor was recently reported by cable message.
