FINANCIAL ACTIVITY IN

BRITAIN.

BOOM STILL CONTINUES

LAST MONTH’S FLOTATIONS

EXCEED £37,000,000. (■Received Dec. 5, 1.50 a.m.) LONDON, Deer 1

There is an extraordinary revival of financial activity. The flotations'during last month exceed £37.000,000 New capital subscribed during the year undoubtedly exceeds £200,000.000. Most of the new issues are over-subscribed. It Is interesting to note that to-day’s issue alone, totalling £5.000.000. coincides with the distribution of £50,000,000 dividends from the war loan. It is important to remember that owing to complete interruptions of the progress of ordinary private enterprise during war-time, it is inevitable that the removal of the Government restrictions on capital issues would result in a rush to obtain capital.—Aus. and N.Z.
