KAIRORO YARDS
The Gisborne Farmers’ Co-op. Co. Ltd. held their weekly sale at Kairoro Yards yesterday. Entries came in over advertised numbers, and. the attendance was good and competition keen. All classes of sheep maintained recent values. Fat sheep were in keen demand, and sold readily at advanced rates! The entry of_ cattle was fair, and all with the exception of one pen were sold, while only oO odd ewes were turned out unsold. Quotations are as follows: —h at ewes (good) 38s to 395; lighter sorts 29s 6d to'36s, fat hoggets (good) 3bs ewes in lamb (good! 4th to 5 year old ols 9d, empty 2th ewes (good) 28s del, 2th wethers (fair) 30s 9d good woolly hoo-gets 26s to 275. smaller sorts 20s toTls, ewes in lamb (mixed ages). 19s 6d to 23s 6d, cull wethers (mixed aS Ca ) ttE S —3 year steers (mixed quality £ll, mixed weaners £4 10s, empty cows (dairy sorts) £5.
