BAND BATTLE.

MOBILISATION OF GRENADIERS

The mobilisation of the Grenadiers Army, which is to participate in the Band Battle, was carried out last night. . The City Band paraded in Peel Street and sounded the tocsin of war and. there was a hearty response of volunteers who assembled in a room of Messrs Sheridan and Adair’s Building, Peel Street. Mr J. H. Ormond, in a few humorous words, introduced the business ol the meeting, and called upon the organiser to state the plan of campaign. Mr W. Lints (organiser) explained the methods of the campaign on lines already published. A message was received from Mr. Rowley, asking that Mr Lints and the Secretary for War should attend the school and arrange fighting forces at the school. A great sale of badges took place at the meeting and augurs well. fertile fighting chances of the gld regiment, “The Grenadiers.” After several questions had -teen answered, tlie election of officer!? was proceeded with and resulted as follows: General: Mr D.
