MR. FRED. GRAY’S SALE. Air. Fred. Gray, auctioneer, reports as follows on his weekly sale on Saturday :—The advertised two-seater Saxon car realised £92, and a twoseater De Dion car sold at £23. Hoises (throe entries): Hacks £5 and £2. Saddles and bridles sold at £2 15s and £l. Poultry (51 entries); Roosters realised 2s 6d to 4s, hens 3s lid to 4s, drakes 4s 3d to 5s 6d, ducks 3s 9d to 4 S 3d. Eggs 2s 6d dozen. Pumpkins sold at is each, potatoes (local) 15s, Canterbury 17s 6d per bag (getting scarce). There was a large attendance at the furniture sale, and everything was cleared, ineluding a piano at £45 and a D.H. Singer at £9 10s.
