(Received August 8. 10.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 6t The King, in a letter to Mr Lloyd George, said : “The honors and awards for the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force are now submitted to Parliament. I feel the people share my regret that it is not possible to express the nation’s grateful recognition of the pre-eminent services the Prime Minister lias rendered both in carrying the war to a victorious cud and in securing an honorable peace. To mark my high appreciation of your services, it gives me great pleasure to confer on you the Order of Merit.”
