FLOODED RIVERS EXPECTED IN EAST COAST DISTRICT.
Mr. Pemberton’s forecast is as Present indications are for. easterly gales northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and south-east winds, strong to gale, elsewhere. Stormy weather may be expected generally, and heavy rain over the North island with rivers flooded, in the n ° r tn ern and East Coast districts. Ram and snow in many parts of the South Island. The barometer may fall, especially in the north.
