(Received Julv 16 11.5 p.m.) LONDON. July 16. The Daily Express offers a prize of £IO.OOO for a commercial reliability airship.or aeroplane return flight from Britain to India and South. Africa, carrying a minimum of one ton. The Australian flight is excluded, owing to the Commonwealth’s earliest offer. The competitors will be judged on reliability and airworthiness. The competition aims at establishing the fact that India and South Africa, despite shortage of shipping are easily communicable from London.
