Assocuumw NEW YORK, July 7. * Tlic New York Times’ Mineoia correspondent writes: The log. of 1t.34 shown that the voyage was quite comfortable ’J im- men worked on shifts of four hours and slept four hours. Meats composed the chief part of the diet, although the men had warm drinks prepared by a special cooker. Breakfast; consisted of hard boiled eggs, bread and butter, and hot tea; luncheon, of cold meats, chocolate, and w*ater; tea consisted of bread and butter, greengage jam, cake, hot tea ; dinner was composed of meats, tea. bread and butter. Music during meals was supplied by a gramaphone. The men slept in sleeping hags in hammocks. The dirigible was equipped with a wireless educational indicator with a 300 miles radius, wireless with a 1300 mile radius, and telephone with 100 miles’ radius. The airship sometimes badly humped in sharp .wind-storms, but on the whole remained on an even keel. The New York Times’ Washington -correspondent says that Mr Daniels, Secretary for the Navy, sent a congratulatorv tclf-Krain to Ooxnmanclcr Scott and Lord Reading, stating: “The R.34’s achievements, coming «> soon after the flights oT Brown, Alcock and Hawker, complete a remarkable series of accomplishments in aviation, in which British and Amerieans mav take* a just pride, and which will serve to increase the cordial relations between the two navies.” HOMEWARD BOUND.
