In the course of his persona] statement, bankrupt says :—I have been in this district for 30 years, and up to six years ago I was engaged in carting and general contracting work. Six years ago I started a motor bus Service between Gishorne and MangaiPcipci. I then, had £4OO tluit I hau saved, and this sum I invested in the motor bus service. I started with one bus, but as the business increased I acquired more plant, and at the end of 1918 I bad four busses.
