DISPOSITION OF FLEET.
BEATTY ON THE LESSONS OF
THE WAR
(Received March 30, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON. March 29. After the war the distribution of the navy will be a Home fleet of seven squadrons, stationed in the Atlantic, West, Atlantic, China station, African station, America, East Indies, and Mediterranean. _ Admiral Beatty, replying to the presentation of the freedom of Liverpool, said: —
“The Navy learned many lessons during the war. We must see that those lessons are taken to heart so that wc shall not again have to face a great crisis with improvised methods. Such economies as ment requires must be applied wise-5 ly with a proper understanding ofv the future problems in the: light experience gained in the war.’’
