A STARTLING PROPHEGY.
“BOBS” PREDICTED FOCH’S VICTORY.
From Montreal comes a startling and accurate prophecy made in Canada by the late Lord Roberts, . recounted by L Evenement, of Quebec. The paper says Lord Roberts, when in Canada ten years ago, stated on one occasion: ‘They refuse to believe me, and we are asleep under false security, for I do not hesitate to affirm that we will have a frightful war in Europe, and England and France will have the hardest experience of their existence, they, in fact, will see defeat very near, but the war will be finally von by the genius of a French general named Ferdinand Focli, professor m a military school in Pans , , The newspaper says Lord prophecy was heard bv a number o people, and that the Duke of Devonshire has repeated the prophecy, attributing it to the field marshal.
