TOLOGA BAY NOTES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) In spite of the inclement weather prevailing, the Combined Sports dance, held in Reynold’s Hall on' Thursday, October 10, was largely attended, and' over 60 couples participated in tho dancing. The committee of management are to ho congratulated upon the excellent way in which all details were arranged for, and a good evening’s dance was assured for those present. A splendid supper was laid out in the supper room under the capable management of tho Ladies Committee, assisted by Mrs F. Holder. The dance was run jointly by the Ladies’ Hockey Club, and the Football Club, and was arranged as a wind up _ to the hockey season. Music was dispensed by Mr E. Lockwood and other helpers. During the evening Mr O. E. Smith made presentation of a banner and cup to Mr T. Temple, who represented the Hauiti Football Club, which was the 'successful competitor during last season. The banner was very kindly worked and donated by Mr s G. Evans. Miss M. Nicol and Mr B. W. Martin acted as joint sec-' retaries, and spared - no effort with the assistance of their helpers to ensure a good evening’s enjoyment.
