BELGIANS SEVERELY PUNISH ENEMY.

A Belgian communique dated September 29 at 9 p.m. says: During to-day the Belgian and British army under General Pluiuer continued their success, heating the enemy after severe lighting on tho old Great Flanders ridge.

The Belgian army captured Virlnude, Zarren, Cerest Stactenberg, West Roosebeke, Moorslede anti also repulsed strong counter-attacks between .Stadcn and Terest and at the end of tho day was attacking the Ro ul.ers- Alien in read at St. Pieter; also at Colliemolenhoek, four kilometres west of Holders. General Plumcr’s army, after capturing the Mcssines-Wytschaefce ridge, encountered very strong resistance.
The enemy vainly attempted to defend the approaches to Lys arid suffered very heavy losses, especially at Ploorschaode Wood, At the end of the day General Plumer’s army had passed the eastern outskirts of Ploegstecrt Wood and captured St. Pemprielen, Jeshand and Dehtzeelle. During September 28 and 29 the Belgian army and General Plainer's army have taken over 9000 prisoners ’ and over 200 guns, including some 240 and 280 ‘millimetre; also a considerable quantity of material. General Plumer’s army has taken 05 officers and 3000 men; also 90 field guns. . . Th c . British air service contributed very powerfully to thc success of the operations, bombing incessantly the enemy’s columns and trams and lines or communication.
LONDON, Sent. 30. The Belgians captured Vcrcken and Stadcn am!'the British have captured Ghcluwo and Warncton.
