OPINION DIVIDED IN INVER-
CARGILL
MR. W. D. LYSNAR TO ADDRESS
A MEETING
Opinion is evidently divided in In* vcrcargill on the commandeering of wool and meat after the' war. A recent issue of the, Southland Times contains a report of a-'meeting of tho local A. and P. Association at which a motion was moved supporting the Government’s proposals, but after some considerable discussion Mr: J. MacDonald moved as an amendment that ■ before anything further was done Mr. W. D. Lysnar should be asked to address them uu the matter so far as wool was concerned. Mr. MacDonald added that there was not a farmer present who understood the position.
It was contended by Mr. Cox, the mover of the motion, that Mr. Lysnar had never shown them a way of getting the produce through to London if it was not sent to the Imperial Government.
Eventually the amendment to ask Mr.' Lysnar to address the meeting was carried, and lie left for Invercargill on Sunday night. KAIROEO SALE.
