NINE CANDIDATES FOR SEVEN VACANCIES.

At least nine candidates are cominff forward to contest the seven seats on the Mangapapa Town Board, the biennial election in connection with which takes place on \\ eclneadav week next. Five of the present members .are offering themselves for re-election. Mr C. Matthews and Mr W. H. Sharpin do not intend to seek re-elec-tion. The time, of the former is fully occupied in his other . public duties, whilst Mr. Sharpm is retiring owing to having transferred his activities from the Mangapapa district. , ~ . The four new candidates seeding the suffrages- of the ratepayers are Messrs W. Parker, J. H. Hall, W. J. Sinclair and C. S. Bruce.
