OFFICIAL CLOSING OF SEASON
At the Gisborne Club’s green yesterday afternoon the Gisborne Club’s 1917-18 season was officially brought to a close, when a contest between players over and under 50 years of age was played. The members of the Kahutia Club had been invited to take part, and .a goodly number responded, to the invitation. The cold and threatening appearance of the weather prevented a number of bowlers from being present, but there were enough veterans present to down and out the*’ “youngsters.” The results of the, games tire' as under : O. if.
