Preston have been added to .the. Reatteuding a sitting of the Advisory Board in Christchurch, returned to Gisborne yesterday. Mr George E. Keith, manager for the Waiapu Farmers’ Co-operatii e Association, is in town on a business trip. His many friends will regret to learn that it is necessary for lnm to give up his duties for three weeks on account of ill-health. \ southern newspaper announces that Hon. G. Thorne George has been appointed to fill extraordinary vacancies on the Hastings and Dannevivke Fire Boards. Mr- Thorne George’s many Gisborne friends will congratulate him on the : . which, though a little anticipatoi may be prophetic. Apparently <npr contemporary is confusing Jfr. Thorne George with liis father, who was formerly a member of the Legislative Council.
