Discovery by Professor Rudolf Fischell, of Prague, of a new remedy for combating haemorrhage is announced by the Journal of.the Austrian Apotliearies’ Association. The, remedy is made from a hitherto unknown element in the lung-tissue ot certain animals. It is a reddishbrown powder which dissolves in water into a foaming, slimy substance. After a series of experiments with animals, it has been employed on human beings.
