PRESENTATIONS AT WELLINGTON. (Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, June 24Tlie Governor-General, at the Town Hall to-night, presented medals won by five New Zealand . soldiers in the field. The hall was crowded, the gathering including members of the Ministry and officers of the Headquarters Staff. Close upon 2300 troops paraded. Four medals were wou by ..soldiers who lost their lives at the. front. These were:— $ Military Cross—Captain G. E. Dauiell (P. E. Daniell, father, Foxton); Second-L-ieut. L. Smith (Mrs- A. Smith, mother, Berhampore). Military Medal—Private F. A. Brill (T. E. Brill, father. Wellington) ; Private J. Fitzgerald' (Mrs. NFitzgerald, mother. Wellington). The next-of-kin received the medals. The Serbian Gold Medal was presented to Private A. East. *■- Gisborne.
