RUN OVER BY A TRAM. Association Telegram) AUCKLAND, June 17. An old man, believed to be James Low. was billed to-night by being run over by - * a tram at Bayswater, North Shore. lie was walking on the track when he was overtaken by a trqmTAUMARGNUF June 17. W-. J. Price, Crown., Lands Ranger of the Wellington District, left his home at Piriaka at 3 o’clock oil Sunaay morning and failed to return. He had been suffering, from an aggravated form of mumps for a week As he complained of the cold his wife went to make him a hot poultice, when she heard the click of the door and followed quickly, hut was too late to find her husband. She reported the matter to the neighbors and search parties ■ were out all Sunday. - A dressing gown was found in the Wanganui river half a mile away and oil further search to-day the body was discovered at 2 o’clock near the Matapuna railway bridge, about five miles from Piraka. Deceased’s temperature' was abnormal, and he would have died from exposure whatever happened. Deceased leaves a wife and three children.
