CANADA AND CONSCRIPTION.

Borden, interviewed, said the disturbances at Quebec had been greatly exaggerated. A vast majority of-people proved their loyalty by accepting conscription. Canada had sent more than 370,000 men, and the casualties totalled 150,000. The conscription law and the of exemptions will mean that new streams of man-power from Canada will continue fighting to the last 'breath and the last dollar. CONSCRIPTION IN NEWFOUNDLAND. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received April 29, 12.5 am.) OTTAWA. April 27. The Newfoundland Legislature has decided to unanimously endorse conscription.
