PALACE PICTURES.
A BIG ATTRACTION. There was a record attendance at the Palace Pictures on Saturday night, when a sterling programme was submitted, headed by a picturisatiou of the celebrated drama, "John Glayde’s Honor,” by Alfred Sutro, which is too well known to require any speeiaj comment as to its merits, having enjoyed a long run on tlie stage both in England and America. The dramatic action of the production is good. Tito story oi the man whose sense of honor demanded that ho foster the interests of the stockholders of his company to tho exclusion of all pleasure or any sense of social or domestic duty towards the woman lie liad made his wife, and the foolish wife whoso pique threw her into tho arms of another man, is forcefully told, and cannot fail to be enjoyed in its screened version. An added attraction on the series is episode five of “The Purple Domino,” this chapter being entitled. “Tho Demon from tho. Sky.” This sensational number is full of bombs, aeroplanes, and adventure, and shows a dare-devil act by Lucille Love when she attempts to rescue Hugo in mid-air. Comedies and others complete a very fine programme, which will be repeated to-day.
