AUTUMN CATTLE FAIR.

AT MATAVv HERO YARDS

The P.B. Stockbrokers’ Association commenced their .Autuihn Cattle Fair at the Matawliero yards yesterday. The sale dragged at first, but soon improved, bidding becoming more spirited and prices very satisfactory to vendors. The entries of fat cattle totalled 171. Bullocks sold up to £l7, co\ys to £l3 2s 6d, and young steers to' £l7 7s 6d. The olferings of store cattle totalled 3952. There were larger entries, but owing to the darkness some lines had to be held over till to-day.
