Alarch 9The Albert- Aledal has been awarded to Trooper James .Werner Alagnnsson. of the New Zealand Rifles. On. the occasion of a lost- transport, he dived into a- rough sea and swam to the assistance of an injured soldier. He placed him in a boat and returned to the sinking ship and rejoined his unit, but lost his life.
