s P ECIAL APVERHSEMENTg. COOK COUNTY ELECTIONS. ANGABOA RIDING. TO THE RATEPAYERS. f'. : —— RADIES i\ND GENTLEMEN,—
•\ " I would respectfully remind .the Ratepayers that I will again be a Candidate for Election for the Hangaroa Riding. . 1- have had the honor of being your representative (with one short break of oihee during a visit to the Homeland) for seventeen years. My endeavor has always been to do my utmost for the whole of the ratepayers of the Riding, and, if re-elected, I will not iu any way slacken in my efforts to secure all possible improvements necessary for the welfare of the ratepayers. I can claim to have a very thorough and intimate knowledge of every portion of the Riding, and it has always been my aim to have the moneys for. the Riding expended fairly and in the very best interests of all concerned. The. Riding is not an easy one to administer, it having so many communities of inter-, est. but in my efforts to be impartial I I f®h#gained the respect not ojfly of Vfe ratepayers, but also of myjj fellowjfiembers on the Council, who lave entrusted me with the importantldutips appertainine»to the chairmanslfenf I fully recojpnse that a very grcXsT deal has stilLfo be done to secure Jluch-needed mm improvements injrrilany directions, and it is my firmiopnion fhaifthe time has now arriveSjSvhen tbprratepayers should agree having for their object the raiajffg of moderate sums by way of kjpns. Under this system it will beOaissible to make improvements on# much more satisfactory scale, aJa the works so carried out will jmord permanent results, and, consequently, prove very much cheaper*yTn the long run. What is more: the ratepayers will he avoided much inconvenience which is inseparable from, the present system under which very heavy maintenance work has to be constantly undertaken out of revenue. The Riding is i-apidly becoming more settled, and its growing prosperity warrants the carrying out of further improvements on the lines here indicated. I trust that I may once again have th-i honor of being re-elected to the Council as the representative of the Riding, fop I share the aims of its ratepayers in promoting its advancement and welfare. T remain, Yours faithfully, •F. -T. LYSNAR.
