Owing to strike troubles the Spanish Government is suspending constitutional guarantees.
MADRID. June 26
Good judges believe that the insurrectionary movement has been scotched, hut not killed. It may at any time prove too strong for the dynasty. The situation is extremely critical. Last week King Alphonso only saved his crown bv the celerity with which he accepted the demands of discontented militarists. The great body of politicians seem tired of the King and his clique, who are accused of favoritism. .The army revolt was due to officers with friends at court circles being promoted over older men, irrespective of merit. The leaders of the malcontents were orre steel", but their .comrades declared that" unless released they would be liberated by force. The difference of opinion among the Liberals is increasing. Count Romanones has resigned the leadership. He advises the formation of a directorship composed of leaders of different sections.

United Services. (Received June 27. 8.5 p.m.) LONDON. June 26. The position in Spain remains clouded.
The Ministry explains that it has instituted a censorship in order to allay the prevailing uneasiness. Newspapers are prohibited from publishing news regarding the army or proclamations, strikes or torpedoings, and are debarred from commenting on the war. The Government has filled Barcelona with soldiers and is controlling other revolutionary centres under martial law.

Tlie Daily Mail’s Madrid correspondent says the insurrectionary movement has been scotched, not killed, and it may reassert itself at any moment so strongly that the dynasty may have to go. It is statedthatKing Alphonso only saved his crown in the recent crisis by the celerity wherewith he conceded to the demands of the majority of the politicians, who are tired of Alphonso and his clique and have agreed that they must go before long. Summarising the causes of the late revolt, the correspondent says that although Alphonso and his Government capitulated and released implicated ‘ officers of the armv and suspects. he will go hack upon his word at the first favorable opportunity and banish or imprison the leaders and officers of the Committee of Defence. . Therefore the army is on its guard and politicians an? endeavoring to make capital out of the situation. The Left party is solidly supporting the change in regime, and is determined. when strong enough, to depose the monarch and proclaim a republic. ~ , ... , Senor Maura is considered a lixely head of the revolutionary movement, MADRID. June 26. - Premier Datto stated that the comments of a section of the press vei e 'compromising the neutrality policj, also the professional agitators were conducting a country-wide alarmist campaign which necessitated the suspension of constitutional guaiantees.
