NOTES.

The Alako arrived from Napier early yesterday morning and after dropping mails and picking up'.’Coast passengers in her surf boat, sailed for Auckland via Coast Bays. Tim Kalin arrived from Auckland and the Coast yesterday morning, and; after completing her discharge, sailed for the Coast. The Araliura left Napier last evening for Gisborne and is due here this morning. Site will leave later tor Auckland via. 'fokoma.ru (Bay. Arrangements have been made lor a launch at Tokomaru Bay to replace the AYaima, which is at present out of commission. i , The cargo steamer from Auckland will not now arrive until xo-niglit. She is bringing the long-expected tram-rar body,’which was carried on by the To Anau last week. A passenger steamer will arrive from the North to-morrow afternoon and w.ill leave in the evening for Ampler and Southern p-orts. _ Tim U.B.S. Coy’s Monowai, which has been recommissioned for the East Coast service will arrive front South to-morrow morning and will leave later for Auckland direct, omitting the usual call at Tokomaru Bay. The Ripple is expected from Wellington- and Napier to-morrow morning’ but may possibly be diverted.
