AUCKLAND WATERSIDES, IN TROUBLE, Press Association Telegram. AUCKLAND, March 13. At the Police Court Mr. Cutten, S.M., sentenced Oliver Noakes,watersidev- to eleven, months’ imprisonment for breach of additional war regulations in publishing utterances intended to interfere wit'll the proper unloading- of the steamer AAestialia. The Magistrate found that there was an understanding on the part oi a section of watersiders not to engage for work before 8 a.m., whereas the award time was 7.30; that when an ex-president of the union broke the understanding by engaging before b a m defendant made a remark to him which the Magistrate considered to be a threat. The Magistrate held that the remark was intended to delay engagement until 8 a.m.. and consequently delay the unloading* of the vessel.
