TWO WELLINGTON APPEALS
(Press Association Telegram.) Wellington; Feb. u. The Bishop of Wellington appealed 'bo- the. Military Service Board for the exemption of two clergy called tip in the ballot. He said it was practically impossible to supply places of clergy who go. The source of supply he believed to be closed. The Board decided to adjourn the appeals sine die, exemption from military service to .be granted in the meantime, the cases to reviewed again before the first division is exhausted. The Board expressed the opinion that the First ’Division should be exhausted before married men are called up.
A WANGANUI APPEAL. (Press Association Telegram.) WANGANUI, Feb. 14. At a sitting of the Military Service Board the case of A. C. H. Button, clergyman of Lumsden, for whom the Primate appealed, was called. The •Chairman said this adjourned case was one in which it was stated the Minister f 0 ~ Defence had given an exemption certificate, but it had not come to haml The certificate liad now been received, and the Board granted a co tulitiona 1 exemption.
