Mr R S. Florance returned to Gisborne on Tuesday afternoon after presiding at tluUsit-ting ot the Magistrate’s Court at various places along the coast. The University Council at Auckland has appointed the Rev. A. B. Chappell, Methodist minister of Aew Plymouth, Registrar of Auckland University 3 vice Canon Aelson, 6 signed. Mr. J. T. DeCent, Bytton Road, received a further cable message yesterday to the effect that Lieutenant K O DeCent had been transferred to a Base Depot in France on February 1. ■ ' ‘
