NEW YEAR HONORS.
SIR JAMES ALLEN. K.C.B. SEVERAL NEW ZEALANDERS HONORED. (Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON. Feb. 12. ’ His Excellency the Governor has received a telegram from the Secretary of State for the Colonies announcing that His Majesty has been graciously pleased to confer the following New Year honors :
Most Honorable Order of the Bath. K.C.B.—Honorable Colonel James Allen, M.P., Minister for Defence. C.B.—Colonel Robert Logan, A.D.C.. Administrator of Samoa. Knight Bachelor. His Honor Mr. Justice Denniston, Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. Ceorge. C.M.G. —Honorable Colonel W. E. Collins, M. 8., M.R.C.S.. Member of the Legislative Council of New Zealand. Further. His Majesty has conferred a Brevet Lieutenant-Colonelcy upon Major C. R. MacDonald. Royal Warwickshire Regiment, chief infantry instructor of the Dominion forces.
