The Government has definitely de tided to acquire 265 acres of land in the Hamua district for settlement by soldiers. The land, which is of firstclass quality, is situated opposite the Hamua Post Office and has a frontacre to the main Eketaliuna-Pahiatua road. The land is said to. he eminentlv adapted for dairy farming, and will probably be cut up into four selections It was recently m the possession of natives, being previously owned bv the late Maori clner, Nirealia Tamaki.
