THE WATERSIDERS.

TROXJBEE AT WELLINGTON

(Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 29. Owing to a dispute regarding the method of working cargo, work is interrupted on two ships. On one that was discharging general cargo the watersiders objected to nets being used instead of slings, claiming tnat the former were dangerous. Tne employers insisted on the use of nets, ’but the men were obdurate, and the matter ended in their services being dispensed with and unloading ceased. In the other case, in which a vessel was loading produce, the men refused to handle more than about two-tlmrds of the usual number of boxe s of butter in a net, and they were put off the job.
