FIRE AT NAPIER.
MOTOR GARAGE AND RESIDENCE DESTROYED.

At noon to-day a tire totally destroyed a motor garage and residence at the corner of Dalton and Tennyson Streets. The plant and stock, owned by the Wright Motor Company, were uninsured. Ail was, lost, with six cars. The top floor, used as a residence, was destroyed with all the contents, which were also uninsured. The building was owned by Montague Lascelles. of Timaru. The insurances are unknown.

At midday to-day Mr V . light's motor-garage at lenni>on fkiioet was destroyed bv Are. Seven cars were destroyed and the estimated loss is £2765. The blaze spread to adjoining buildings, but little damage was done.
