The Daily Chronicle’s expert voices a strong suspicion that the Navy is destroying many more submarines than is officially announced, as the Admiralty does not publish lists, it is certain, however-, that the enemy are building submarines faster than they are being destroyed and our tonnage losses are in .'easing. German*; claims that fine sank 300,000 British tons during November, and 419,106 tons during December, and that the total British losses inee the war, comprise; 2,947,475 tons. The official British figures admit Ihe loss of 787,575 tons from January to October. Hie tonnage of new British ships launched during the war unt.i September 30 was 1,873,965, and b hiding was never more rapid than non - .
