EXCITEMENT! IN LONDON AND
BRADFORD
SCRAMBLE FOR SPOT LOTS

There is a great scramble for spot lots a.t sensational prices owing to reoprts of the Government’s acquisition of the New Zealand clip. There are grave fears lest it will be extended to Australian crossbreds.
Private cables received by leading wool house s indicate that the New Zealand Government has definitely announced its intention to buy a!nd hold the clip and is concluding negotiations with the growers. . The news that faulty merinos may be exported from Australia has caused great satisfaction to American trades, but fears are expressed it m*ay have been rendered inoperative by Mr Hughes’ conference. Bradford is apprehensive lest- this means the. requisition of the whole of the Australian clip.
