Juno 23The Rank of England returns show the stock of. gold, com, and bullion to be £39,972,000: reserve, £44,943,000; proportion oi' reserve to liabilities, 31.50 per cent. The notes in circulation total £35,215,000; public deposits £51,200,000; other deposits, £91,54-9,000; “Government securities, 012,187,000; other securities, £73,383,000. Short loans are discounted at 1 f per cent., and three months hills as follows: London 51 per cent. Consols are quoted at £59 2s Gd : war loans £B9 and £96.
