SWEET PEA SHOW.

A. CREDITABLE DISPLAY

r J’he sweet.pea show, under the auspices of the Poverty Bay Sweet Pea Society, was accommodated in a large tent in a prominent position. The blooms, in tho opinion of the judges, Messrs G. T. and F. 0. Hull, were a splendid show. There was a very large variety of the different colois and beautiful blooms well displayed which called forth approbation and admiration with tho visitors. Mr A* Jackman won the most points, and his show of Orange Perfection was a triumph of horticulture. the (Tampion bloom of the show was one ot tins variety'grown by Mr Jackman. Mi •Stevenson, who gained second place on points, also exhibited sonic very fine blooms. The exhibition or Orange Perfection, King White, and Lavender varieties won unstinted admiration and, in the opinion of a visiting authority on this subject, compared favorably with blooms grown elsewhere. * The show was altogether a most creditable one.
